Product Overview

Sermorelin Rapid Dissolving MiniTab Description1-6

Sermorelin is a synthetic peptide analog of endogenous growth hormone releasing hormone (GHRH), consisting of the first 29 amino acids of the 44-residue natural human GHRH. It is used as a diagnostic agent and as a growth hormone secretagogue to stimulate endogenous production of human growth hormone (hGH) by the pituitary gland.

Mechanism of Action1-6

Sermorelin acts as an agonist at the GHRH receptor in the anterior pituitary, stimulating somatotroph cells to increase the synthesis and pulsatile release of endogenous growth hormone (GH). This in turn stimulates the liver to produce insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1), which mediates many of the anabolic and metabolic effects associated with human growth hormone.

Unlike exogenous recombinant human growth hormone (rhGH), sermorelin stimulates physiologic GH production while preserving feedback regulation via somatostatin and IGF-1 pathways. This supports a more natural circadian rhythm of GH release.

Common

  • Injection site reactions (pain, redness, swelling)
