Product Overview

Gonadorelin Description1-5

Gonadorelin is a synthetic decapeptide that has the same amino acid sequence as the naturally produced gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH). Both compounds are made up of 10 amino acids arranged in a specific sequence: pyro-Glu-His-Trp-Ser-Tyr-Gly-Leu-Arg-Pro-Gly-NH2.

In males FSH and LH stimulate testosterone production and sperm production. In females, FSH and LH regulate the menstrual cycle and ovulation. The half-life of gonadorelin ranges from 2 to 40 minutes.

Anastrozole Description6-8

Anastrozole is a selective non-steroidal aromatase inhibitor. It is rapidly absorbed occurring within 2 hours. It has a half-life of 50 hours and takes 1 week to get to steady state concentrations with daily administration. The drug decreases estrogen synthesis and increases testosterone levels.

Gonadorelin1-5

GnRH is made in the hypothalamus and functions to stimulate the release of follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH) from the anterior pituitary. This increase in FSH and LH may stimulate the production and release of testosterone by the male testes and estrogen by the female ovaries and placenta.

Anastrozole6-8

In postmenopausal women, estrogens are mainly derived from the action of the aromatase enzyme, which converts adrenal androgens (primarily androstenedione and testosterone) to estrone and estradiol. Suppression of estrogen biosynthesis in peripheral tissues and in cancer cells can be achieved by specifically inhibiting the aromatase enzyme. In males, inhibition of the aromatase enzyme results in decreased systemic estrogen levels and increased systemic testosterone levels.
