How Quickly Do Testosterone Pellets Work?

A testosterone deficiency may occur in patients of any age, and when it does, a solution that can restore balance to the body is needed. Testosterone pellets provide patients and physicians with a simple, yet effective, way to address testosterone deficiencies, alleviate symptoms, and restore balance to the body to improve every aspect of daily life.

How Quickly Do Testosterone Pellets Work?

Pellet therapy is so effective because once the pellets are inserted below the skin’s surface, the body will immediately begin absorbing them into the bloodstream to address the symptoms of testosterone deficiency. Once testosterone pellet therapy is implemented to address a testosterone imbalance, improvement in symptoms can often be experienced as soon as a few days post-treatment.

For some patients, testosterone pellets deliver results within days; for others, it takes a couple of weeks. Results vary among patients, but as soon as the treatment process has begun, rest assured knowing that a state of hormonal balance and improved overall health and wellness is not far behind.

What Is Pellet Therapy?

Pellet therapy is a form of bioidentical hormone replacement therapy that uses sterile, implantable, hormone pellets to address hormone imbalances. These pellets may address testosterone deficiencies because they contain the exact dosage your body needs to restore balance to the system. The treatment process is quick, virtually painless, and delivers long-lasting results.

How Does It Work?

Once it is determined that a testosterone deficiency exists and pellet therapy is selected to address your imbalance, the treatment process will begin. This method is popular among both patients and physicians because it is quick, simple, and helps balance the body with a consistent supply of testosterone.

To begin the treatment process, the provider will sanitize skin around the insertion site, typically a fatty area on the outer/upper hip. Then, a lidocaine injection with sodium bicarbonate is injected into the area, and a tiny incision will be made. The pellet, which is smaller than a grain of rice, will be carefully inserted into an implantation tool and aseptically delivered into that tiny incision.  Following the insertion, a bandage will be placed over the area. The entire treatment process takes anywhere from 10 to 20 minutes to complete.

What To Expect

Once treatment with pellet therapy has begun, symptom relief may be achieved within a few days to a few weeks based on the specific level of deficiency and the rate at which the body works to restore balance to your system.

Results can last up to six months, but patients typically require follow-up treatments every three to four months to maintain the most consistent levels of testosterone. The physician will evaluate the therapy and develop the appropriate and individualized treatment plan. Most patients only need three to four treatments each year.

The Benefits

There are many different benefits associated with pellet therapy, which is why both patients and physicians prefer this method of bioidentical hormone replacement therapy. The treatment takes all of the effort out of the equation for the patient because there is no need for daily creams, weekly injections, or annoying patches.

The pellet may deliver the necessary testosterone to balance the body and deliver the right level of hormones as needed. The process is quick and doesn’t require self-administration of hormones. All that is needed is to attend treatments as recommended by your provider.
